Knitting is a method by which yarn is manipulated to create a textile or fabric for use in many types of garments. Knitting creates multiple loops of yarn, called stitches, in a line or tube. Knitting has multiple active stitches on the needle at one time. Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of intermeshing of loops. As each row progresses, a newly created loop is pulled through one or more loops from the prior row, placed on the gaining needle, and the loops from the prior row are then pulled off the other needle.
Dyeing is the process of adding color to textile products like fibers, yarns, and fabrics. Dyeing is normally done in a special solution containing dyes and particular chemical material. After dyeing, dye molecules have uncut chemical bond with fiber molecules. The temperature and time controlling are two key factors in dyeing. There are mainly two classes of dye, natural and man-made.
The first stage in the manufacturing of garments is the cutting and for that pattern making is the base. Cutting is separating of the garment in to its components and in a general form it is the production process of separating (sectioning, curving, severing) a spread into garment parts that are the precise size and shape of the pattern pieces on a marker. The cutting process may also involve transferring marks and notches from the garment parts to assist operators in sewing, chopping or sectioning a spread in to blocks of pieces goodsmany precede precision cutting of individual patter shapes.This is done to allow for accurate matching of fabric design or easier manufacturing of acutting knife.
In the apparel industry, finishing room is the last steps of garment manufacturing or assembling the operation are performed. After making complete stitched garments by sewing section, these are passed in finishing department for ironing, folding, poly packing, cartoning to get attractive appearance.
